The pueblo of Pitiquito (pronounced pee-tee-kee-toe), Sonora is a small, lovely community nestled between the desert hills a few miles east of Caborca on Mexico highway 2.

In addition to having a historic mission church, San Diego de Pitiquito, which is located on the site of the original mission established by Father Kino in 1689, it is also home to Pieles Pitic, a producer of fine leather goods.

Pitiquito celebrates its patron saint, San Diego, every November with the fiestas de San Diego. In addition, every two years the fiestas are a town reunion known as "Reencuentro."
