The fun-loving musical group “Los Picadientes de
Caborca” got their start in Caborca and have become
not only hometown favorites, but have gained national
and international fame.
Los Pikadientes de Caborca first burst on the scene in
2008 with its single “La Cumbia del Rio,” which became
a huge hit largely due to its exposure on YouTube.
The song grew in popularity as it became the basis of
viral videos that featured people dancing to its catchy
rhythms.
Because of the attention La Cumbia del Rio received on
YouTube, the band came to the attention of recording
studio executives and Los Pikadientes de Caborca
signed with Sony BMC in 2008. Shortly thereafter it
released its first album “Vámonos Pa’l Río.”
After receiving much acclaim and recognition, to include
a 2008 grammy nomination, the band has now
released its second album, “La Tenía Más Grande.”
We wish much continued success to the Pikadientes!
