Visit historic Pueblo Viejo
This is a must-see for any visitor to Caborca. The church is on the site of the mission La Purísima Concepción de Nuestra Señora de Caborca, established in 1693 by Jesuit Priest Eusebio Kino. In addition to being a religious center for the community over the years, Pueblo Viejo has also been the site of burnings and violence, to include a battle for the city fought in 1857 as residents defended the town against a group of American aggressors.

Relax in the plaza
A common pastime for the older citizens of Caborca is to spend time relaxing and socializing in the city plaza, across the street from one of the city's larger Catholic churches, the church of La Candalaria. Oftentimes vendors from various parts of Mexico come to sell their goods here.
